Interviews were conducted in compliance with the Institutional Review Board of Truman State University. Participants opted into having their interviews published online and accepted the possibility of world-wide viewing. Videos of each interview were edited in order to succinctly convey information to a wider audience. The editor of the videos, Maggie Wilcox, did not change or alter the meaning of any participant’s statements. However, in order to maintain complete transparency, each interview has been fully transcribed in order to maintain the authenticity of each participant’s voice, as well as creating a digital archive of these interviews for historical purposes.
